Miscellaneous Info
We run trips in Louisiana during the fall/winter, from early October through the end of February. The boat you will be fishing out of is a 2020 Beavertail Mosquito with a 60hp suzuki. The boat is equipped with plenty of rod storage, dry storage, a casting platform with lean bar, stripping bucket, and comfortable seats with backrests. Also, at Deaton Guide Service, we practice catch and release fishing in an effort to have as little of a negative effect on the fishery as possible. We like to let them go and let them grow. Lastly, your guide is focused day in and day out on how to catch these fish on the fly. However, we can also accommodate conventional fishermen and sight fish reds with soft plastics and/or blind cast with popping corks and crabs.

Cancellation Policy
A $200 deposit per day of fishing is required to book a trip (can be sent through venmo or a check).
Deposits will be fully refunded if the trip is cancelled outside of 45 days or due to unfishable weather. If cancelled due to weather the deposit can also be put towards rebooked dates.
Any cancellations inside of 45 days but outside of 10 days will be responsible for 50% of the trip cost.
Any cancellations within 10 days of the trip will require full payment of the trip cost.
All cancellations must be submitted via email to tuckerdeaton@gmail.com.
Weather Policy
It is up to the guide's discretion to cancel a trip due to weather and the guide will discuss this decision with the client based on his knowledge and experience. If your guide cancels a trip due to dangerous weather, you will be issued a full refund for any balance already paid on the trip including the deposit. Also, be aware that storms and/or rain events can make for tough fly fishing conditions. Your guide is always more than happy to take you out and try to get it done with the fly rod on these bad weather days, but there are times when conventional fishing offers a much better chance to get a bend in the rod. Tucker will be sure to communicate effectively about the weather conditions and will work with you to create a plan that leads to the best chance of success.
